Sunday, Sunny Sunday
We are experiencing a really nice day here in the Southern Part of Heaven. High 70s, sunny and very dry, crisp air. The sky is that Tar Heel blue.
The only bad thing is that Trang is out of town.
Right now I'm reading a paper on the cost-effectiveness of adult drug courts in New South Wales, Australia. I'm drinking a 1998 S. Carlo Brunello di Montalcino. I bought it at a steep discount. For some reason the wine store couldn't move it. Oh well: advantage me. The wine is drinking very nicely, with hints on the nose and palate of stewed dark cherries and chocolate. I'm liking it. It went well with the Caprese-style sandwich I had for lunch.
In other news our local Whole Foods has Three Thieves Zinfandel and Cab. Sauv. in stock. I bought 6 jugs. Theirs is a very powerful, unsublte, high alchohol fruit-forward kind of thing, but at $12 for a 1 liter jug it is a pretty good choice for a big spaghetti with meatballs or steak with garlic pasta dinner with friends on the back deck.

Now that I'm home, there's only 4 jugs left. Hmmmm. I wasn't out of town that long.
